After seeing the white rabbit, what kind of dreams did she have? Was it a dream of playing in a dollhouse, or living in a home built of toy blocks? Who is she in those dreams, and who is she becoming?
As I watch her grow day by day, I feel her identity quietly taking shape. Touching her surroundings and toys, even from a very young age, she seemed to be unconsciously searching for her own place in the world. Now, she is creating a world of her own.
The threshold that expands with growth—the gap between a child’s world and reality. Between adult and child, the immense and the miniature, actual objects and dollhouses, early childhood and adolescence, reality and imagination—I wanted to express this subtle "in-between" at their borders through the medium of photographic space.
I realize that our time and worlds, which once overlapped, are gradually drifting apart. Watching her build things and draw, I see a world that is solely hers—a realm I can no longer enter. While her growth should bring only joy, it also brings me a subtle sense of loneliness.
